Choosing the right colour for you horse or pony can be tricky, the amount of white on your horses head should dictate how much white you have on your browband. Below is a guide to help you pick colours that suit.
Bays - If you own a bay they can carry off any colours you like, choose bright primary colours like Royal blue and red.
Black - Again like bays can carry off any colour, they suit reds, purples, blues, silver and grey, choose bright colours.
Chestnuts - Go for greens, golds and creams, green and purple go well together, or mix purples and maroons and jade with a lighter colour like cream.
Dark Greys - Suit bright primary colours like reds and yellows.
Light Greys - Avoid a lot of white and choose traditional colours like red,navy and gold or red, white and navy.
Palaminos - Suit navy, cream, gold, bottle green, burgundy, pinks, purples, lilacs incorporate silver.
Duns - Suit dark colours like dark red, navy, burgundy and royal blue mix with creams and silver.
Roans - Choose subtle colours navy, bottle green or black
Coloureds - This depends on what type of colour your horse is, if its piebald choose colours that suit a black horse, if its skewbald look at colours for chestnuts and bays
